The Project Scope
How Melissa Hughes of Rise Brand & Growth Co got a Showit site that finally matched the agency she’d built.
Melissa Hughes runs Rise Brand & Growth Co, an agency that gives mission-driven leaders brand clarity and then does the work to back it up: social media management, podcasting, operations, and EA support. She came to me for a new logo and a Showit website that could carry all of it and turn the people who found her into leads.

Before we started, Melissa’s site was doing the opposite of its job. In her words, “it looked terrible” and “wasn’t functional at all.” For a founder running a successful business, that gap showed. It cost her real time, and it didn’t tell potential clients they were dealing with an established organization. She’d tried building it herself, then brought on a VA, and still watched time and money go out the door.
What she started with was a website that most would say was "fine". But who wants a visual representation of your heart and soul that is just "fine"?! We built Melissa’s brand and site back when she was coaching one-on-one and for groups, and the bones we laid held up as the business grew into a full agency. It truly represented who she is at the core.
So when it was time to go even bolder, nothing needed rebuilding. The color just moved a few shades brighter to catch up to where she’d arrived: tomato red, hot pink, and electric yellow against black and white, with peach easing the transitions. Heavy condensed all-caps headlines, handwritten script for the personal notes, highlighter marks on the words that matter, and bright lifestyle photography of Melissa throughout. Confident, feminine, and taking up every inch of space it should. Same foundation, turned up.

Now her website pulls people off social media and onto her email list, and that list turns into clients. She shows up with more confidence, and the site runs without her babysitting it. “It just works and I don’t have to worry about it,” she told me. The whole business reads a level higher, because the site finally looks as professional as the work behind it.
