In this post, we’re diving into practical Q4 planning and business growth tips for Christian entrepreneurs who want to finish the year strong — but without burning out. You’ll learn how to reflect on what’s working, release what’s not, and build a Q4 strategy that honors your faith and fits your real life.
Hi, I’m Jan Touchberry — business strategist, podcast host, and creator of intentional spaces for Christian women who want to grow thriving businesses without compromising their values. If that’s you, you’re in the right place.
Fall is here… and so is Q4. Can you believe it?

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I blinked and suddenly the leaves are turning, the pumpkin cream cold brew is back, and somehow, we’re planning for the last quarter of the year.
If you’re sitting there wondering where the time went, or feeling like you haven’t done enough yet this year… take a deep breath. You are not behind. You’re building something that matters.
Today I want to walk you through how I’m thinking about Q4 — not from a place of hustle, but with clarity and peace. This isn’t a checklist to pressure you. It’s a conversation between friends over coffee, talking through how we can finish strong and stay aligned with what God is doing in our business.
Step 1: Let’s Celebrate What You’ve Done
Before we dive into goals and plans, let’s pause.
Seriously. What have you already done this year?
I know the temptation is to look at what’s still on the list. But right now, I want you to look back and name at least 3 things you’ve accomplished.
Maybe you launched something. Maybe you served a client really well. Maybe you just kept going when it would’ve been easier to quit.
Whatever it is — name it. Write it down. Celebrate it.
Action step: List 3–5 wins from this year so far. Big or small, they count.
Step 2: What’s Actually Worth Finishing?
Okay, now that we’ve honored what’s behind us, let’s look ahead. But let’s be real about it.
Not every goal you set in January is meant to be carried into Q4. Some of them were right for a different season. Some of them were never meant for you in the first place.
And that’s okay.
Grab a piece of paper, draw a line down the middle, and write:
- Still Aligned
- Let It Go
Go through everything still on your plate. Ask yourself: does this still fit my mission, capacity, and calling? If not, bless it and release it.
Action step: Do your “Still Aligned vs. Let It Go” list today.
Step 3: Let’s Do A Little Q4 Planning (For Real Life)
Q4 isn’t just another quarter — it comes with holidays, family needs, and let’s be honest, fewer workdays and more distractions.
Here’s how I break it down:
October: Clean Up + Reconnect
- Focus on backend work, offers, and audience engagement
- Choose 1–2 key projects to move forward
November: Keep It Simple
- Don’t launch something huge
- Sustain your current offers
- Maybe find a low-stress offer to throw out (think digital download or repurposing content you already have completed)
- Highlight “giftable” or seasonal services – the holidays are coming!
December: Rest + Reflect
- Make space to pause
- Look back and listen
- Ask God what He wants for next year
Action step: Choose ONE priority for each month and write it down.
You Don’t Have to Hustle to Grow
Listen, friend. I know it can feel like everyone else is launching something, selling something, or achieving big milestones.
But your business doesn’t have to look like theirs. God isn’t measuring your progress by your productivity. He’s looking at your obedience. Your faithfulness. Your heart.
So let’s build this last stretch of the year with purpose.
Let’s slow down enough to hear what God is saying.
Let’s finish strong — but let’s do it His way.
