If you’ve been around network marketing for any length of time you have probably heard the phrase “leaders are born at events.” I’m gonna add to that your paycheck is born at network marketing events.

I was talking with my friend, Maria, a while back and she relayed this story: “I was invited to do a little bit of training for a Spanish team within our organization and while I was preparing for it, I look back at my year.

In January, I had my lowest paycheck in a while in network marketing. I did not do enough digging to tell you why but it was just it was about two to three hundred dollars. Not the income that I needed to make. (Granted, if you’re not making two to three hundred dollars currently, you might think that’s pretty sweet).

So due to that low paycheck, I was not going to go to our company event in February. Then Jan did what a fearless leader does and she said ‘Get your butt there. Just do it. We’ll share a bed’.

So, I did.

We have amazing leadership and there’s something magic that happens when you have a bunch of people encouraging each other. You find people that believe in you before you can believe in yourself. It’s just how it works! We had an amazing time.

So we came back it was probably we came back probably the 25th of the month. Looking at my numbers, I told my husband I didn’t think I was going to hit my goal. My husband told me it was okay. That I could try next month.

Then something happened – I said ‘You know what? We still have four days left in the month. I can do it! And don’t tell me again that I can try again later.’

I heard enough stories of people doing more in four days that I believed it and I did it in February I got to my goal rank for the first time. Then I maintain it March and April and in May, I ranked up again!

In a matter of a couple of months, I went from making a couple hundred dollars to making a couple thousand dollars!”

That’s a part-time job, you guys. Without leaving your kids. Working whenever you want. You have to put in the work, don’t get me wrong, but there are not many part-time jobs that pay $2,000 and that you can do in your PJs.

The power of inspiration at network marketing events

Something happens at network marketing events. Something that is hard to explain unless you have experienced them. There really is some magic that happens when like-minded people get in a room together.

Belief is built. Fears are squashed. Lives are changed.

So, if you are in an industry that has events. My suggestion? GET THERE!

Can’t afford it? Sell something? Find a way!

Invest in yourself and your future.
